- SCITT (pronounced as SKIT) maintains a strong relationship with in-state and out-of-state research and funding organizations for transportation research.
- SCITT is a part of a team called the Center for Surface Transportation Testing and Academic Research (C-STTAR) led by ENSCO, Inc. that was recently awarded a $571 million USD contract starting from October 2022 by the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) to provide research, testing, engineering, and training services at the Transportation Technology Center (TTC). - CSU Pueblo is a part of a team called the Climate Change and Extreme Events Training and Research (CCEETR) program led by San José State University’s Mineta Transportation Institute (MTI). It is a $4.6 Million grant from the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) that establishes the new consortium to perform climate change research that identifies risk mitigation strategies and preventative measures to improve the U.S. rail network’s resiliency.
