Join us for Climate Resiliency on Railway Infrastructures Conference on Thursday, October 24, 2024 at the Ochiatto Student Center (OSC) Ballroom of the Colorado State University Pueblo, Pueblo, Colorado. The conference will highlight the research findings at the Federal Railroad Administration’s (FRA’s) $4.6 million Consolidated Rail Infrastructure and Safety Improvements (CRISI) grant program, which is called the Climate Change and Extreme Events Training and Research (CCEETR) program.

The Southern Colorado Institute of Transportation Technology (SCITT) at Colorado State University Pueblo will proudly host the CCEETR Fall 2024 and 2025 Conferences.

The CCEETR conferences promise to bring together leaders, researchers, and enthusiasts from the domain of climate change resilience, particularly in the railroad industry. Not only will this conference offer a unique blend of insights, discussions, and hands-on workshops, but it will also provide attendees with the opportunity to immerse themselves in the vibrant culture and beauty of Pueblo.

Conference Highlights:

Key Topics & Themes: The conference will shed light on the latest projects and research focused on climate change resilience specifically tailored for the railroad industry. It will also delve into the multimodal aspects and how they interconnect with rail systems.

The Conferences will feature four different sessions:

  • Keynote address: A prominent figure who has also graced the TTC conference will be sharing insights and experiences.
  • Panel Session: An interactive session with experts from the industry discussing pressing issues and innovations.
  • Workshop: Hands-on sessions providing practical knowledge and tools to address challenges in the field.
  • Poster Session: A platform for students and C-STTAR members to showcase their research and projects. Open to a broader audience for a diverse range of topics.
