Transfer Credit Basics

These general guidelines can help students understand how transfer coursework is reviewed.

Minimum Grade for Transfer Credit

Courses completed with a grade of C- or better are generally accepted in transfer.

Transfer GPA

Transfer grades and credits are not calculated into the cumulative CSU Pueblo grade point average.

Two-Year Institution Credit

CSU Pueblo may accept up to 64 credits from a two-year institution toward a bachelor's degree.

Four-Year Institution Credit

CSU Pueblo may accept up to 90 credits from a four-year institution toward a bachelor's degree.

General Education and Associate Degrees

Associate of Arts and Associate of Science degrees may help satisfy general education requirements, but some majors may still require specific general education or program courses.

Course-by-Course Evaluation

Some coursework, degrees, or credits may be evaluated individually to determine how they apply toward CSU Pueblo requirements.

Associate Degrees and General Education

AA and AS degrees earned at accredited Colorado community or junior colleges generally satisfy CSU Pueblo general education requirements, except for courses that are major specific.

Associate of Applied Science and Associate of General Studies degrees may be evaluated on a course-by-course basis. Students should work with advising to understand how previous coursework applies to their intended major.
